Flags of the World is a fun, interactive way to learn the world's flags!

How to Play

You can see a full list of the flags and their country names on the game page.

It's a good idea to browse them as some country names may vary slightly from the way expect them to be written.

Start Game

Click the Start ( > ) button to start the game.

Game Modes

The default game mode is mutiple choice which means you'll be presented with four randomly selected flags. The target flag name will be shown in the golden game panel. Try to click on the target flag on the first go to get a point. If you select the wrong flag, the name of the clicked flag will be displayed and you can try again. You only get a point for flags correctly chosen on the first go.

By clicking the "Single Flag (Hard) Mode" switch you can play in single flag mode which is more difficult. A single randomly selected flag will be displayed and you need to try to name it. You can skip flags you don't know (see below) Play the Game!

Skip Flag

You can skip a flag if you don't know it by clicking the skip button ( >| ). A notification will come up with the flag's country name so you know it for next time. Don't worry, skipped flags will come around again! Play the Game!

How long to play for

By default the game is set up to play for 5 minutes so it's a short, snappy, fun game.

But this is not long enough to get all the flags out. If you want to really challenge yourself and get all the flags you can play a "Long Game". Do this by clicking the "Play Long Game" switch. Then, if you are playing in default mode you will get 30 minutes to type out all the flag names, or in default mode, you'll get 20 to try to guess all the flags.
